This exclamation mark is the name of the game: in the truest sense of the word, the participating artists raise their voices and get to the bottom of the origins of this process and its interaction with dance. Just as an example, includes the lost voices of extinct species as well as the effect of voice production on the body and vice versa. This edition of OPEN SPACES! also offers space for other thematic accents: with 16 productions, it is the most comprehensive to date and reflects the richness and diversity of international contemporary dance in Berlin. Tanzfabrik Berlin is opening up new space beyond this and will debut the series on February 8, with the premiere of the work of Sergiu Matis at Radialsystem.
With this edition, we once again invite you to venture into uncharted territory and devote yourself to original mechanisms in different spaces of the city.
As part of Open Spaces! in the following performances, audio descriptions & haptic access tours are offered: 10.2. Sergiu Matis "Hopeless.", 24.2. Darko Dragičević & Martin Sonderkamp "Tonträger", 3.3. Hannah Hegenscheidt, Ulrich Huhn & Chris Gylee "Not Good Alone". Further information can be found at the event.
